Definition of critical infrastructure may slightly vary according to countries’ threat/danger profiles and technologies posessed by operation systems and sectors. In general we can define it as: ‘‘When a system or strucrute loses it’s function partially or completely and effects environment, public order and government services negatively that system and structure is called a critical infrastructure.’’ If a critical infrastructure becomes unable to serve anymore, it cause serious threat on public order, security or economy.
It is crucial for countries to define their own critical infrastructures and create a strategy to take necassary precautions in order to keep them serving stably and continuously. In this side event we aim to draw critical infrasture owners/managers, researchers, public authorities, experts and consultancy firm representatives together to share information and experiences.
